The SECO 00043227 is a steel indexable boring bar designed for internal boring and turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built to the MWLN toolholder style, it accepts WNMG 432 trigon inserts secured by a pin and clamp holding method, providing rigid, repeatable insert location. With a minimum bore diameter of 1.78 inches, a 1-1/2 inch shank diameter, and a 14-inch overall length, this bar suits medium-to-large bore applications where rigidity and reach are both required. The negative rake geometry at -13 degrees and a -5 degree lead angle are suited to heavier interrupted cuts and hard materials. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and tool-room technicians.
This boring bar is applied in production and job-shop environments where WNMG 432 insert tooling is already part of the standard insert program. Typical use cases include finish and semi-finish boring of steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous workpieces on lathes with sufficient bore clearance to accommodate the 1-1/2 inch shank. The right-hand cutting configuration suits conventional right-to-left boring passes. Cutting tool applications include internal boring and external turning where the setup allows. Coolant-through capability is not included on this bar.

Follow the insert manufacturer's recommended torque procedure for the pin clamp to avoid insert movement under cutting load.
