Built from steel, it accepts CNMG 432 inserts held in place by a pin and clamp method. The bar features a 1.53-inch minimum bore diameter, a 1-1/4-inch shank diameter, and a 14-inch overall length. A 95-degree lead angle combined with a negative 5-degree rake angle positions the cutting edge for stable, controlled material removal. Through-coolant capability directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, helping manage heat and chip evacuation during deep-bore operations. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC lathes and boring mills.
This boring bar suits left-hand internal turning setups where tool clearance, reach, or machine orientation requires a left-hand cutting direction. The 14-inch overall length provides reach for deeper bores, while the 1-1/4-inch shank fits standard toolholding systems. Through-coolant support makes this bar well suited for continuous cuts in steel, cast iron, and similar materials where heat buildup and chip control are primary concerns. Designed for use with CNMG 432 inserts (compatible insert size code 43, 3/16-inch insert thickness, 1/2-inch inscribed circle). Uses the A-MCLN insert style. Verify shank bore and toolholding system dimensions before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC lathe or boring mill setup. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the boring bar.
