With a maximum depth of cut of 0.660 inches and a maximum ramping angle of 45 degrees, it handles both slotting and ramp-entry passes. The 00040031 is suited for general milling applications including contour milling, profiling, and ramp milling on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tapered neck geometry provides clearance during deep-reach operations. Its 2-flute configuration and ball nose profile make it appropriate for 3D surface finishing and semi-finishing passes on machining centers.
