The SECO 00040024 is a 2-flute indexable ball nose end mill designed for precision milling in metal cutting applications. Built around the R218.20 toolholder style, it accepts two 218.20-125.R inserts secured by screw clamping. The 1-inch cutting diameter paired with a 0.86-inch maximum depth of cut makes it well suited for profiling, contouring, and ramping operations up to 45 degrees. Through-coolant capability supports heat management at the cutting edge during extended cuts. At 5.04 inches overall length and 2.0 inches head length, the body provides reach while maintaining rigidity for typical CNC machining center setups.

This end mill is used in production and job-shop milling environments where indexable tooling is preferred over solid carbide for cost-per-edge efficiency. The 1-inch Weldon Flat shank provides positive rotational drive and is a standard fit in collet chucks and side-lock holders on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
