The SECO 00039915 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation XOEX180616FR-E10 and manufactured to grade H25 with a micrograin substrate. The insert features an uncoated bright finish, a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, and a positive rake geometry at 30 degrees. With a sharp cutting edge style and an E10 chip breaker, it is engineered for high-shear, low-force cutting applications. Two cutting edges are available per insert. This style is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians in milling operations requiring precise chip control and a clean edge finish.
This insert is designed for milling non-ferrous metals and superalloys including titanium. The positive rake angle and uncoated carbide substrate make it well suited to applications where coating adhesion or thermal softening is a concern, such as cutting aluminum, copper alloys, and nickel-based superalloys. It is a right-hand insert, single-sided, and held in the cutter body by a screw. The E10 chip breaker geometry supports consistent chip evacuation during face milling and shoulder milling operations.
Compatible with SECO cutter series R217.69-18 and R220.69-18. The ANSI and ISO code for this insert is XOEX180616FR-E10, series XOEX-18.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Disengage the machine spindle and follow lockout/tagout procedures before seating or removing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the cutter body pocket — do not overtighten. Inspect the pocket seating surface for chips or damage before installing a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
