The SECO 00029119 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding industrial and machining environments. Part of the HK series, this tool features a 15-degree taper angle per side and a 0.0984 inch small end diameter, making it well-suited for tapered slot milling, die and mold work, and contour profiling. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. With an uncoated solid carbide construction, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for consistent results in production and toolroom settings.
This end mill is designed for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where tapered geometry is required. It is particularly applicable in die and mold shops, aerospace component machining, and precision part manufacturing. The HK series targets a broad range of workpiece materials including cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous materials, steel, and superalloys, corresponding to ISO material groups K, M, N, P, and S. The square end profile allows flat-bottomed tapered cuts. The 14.00 mm shank diameter provides a stable grip in standard toolholders.

Installation and tooling changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated per shop safety procedures. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to maintain runout within specification — maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0008 inches. This tool is non-centercutting and should not be used for direct plunge operations. Consult the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when establishing feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
