The SECO 00026693 is a manual twin cutter boring head designed for precision internal diameter boring operations on machining centers and manual horizontal boring mills. The head features a 70 mm body diameter and accepts a Graflex 6 integral mount with a modular connection shank, placing it in the EPB series product line. Boring range spans 85 mm minimum to 144 mm maximum bore diameter, giving machinists a wide operational window from a single tool body. Projection is 105 mm. The manual actuation design allows direct, tactile diameter adjustment without powered or automated assistance, making it well suited for job shops and tool rooms where setup flexibility is valued.
This boring head is intended for use in metal cutting environments where accurate bore sizing is required on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Typical applications include bore finishing, diameter interpolation, and close-tolerance hole sizing in production machining and toolroom settings. The modular connection interface allows the head to be mounted on compatible EPB-series shank extensions or adapters, giving programmers flexibility in reaching deep bores or configuring reach-to-reach setups. It is installed and operated by machinists or tooling technicians in CNC or manual machining environments.
Designed for use with EPB-series modular tooling systems using a Graflex 6 modular connection interface. Specific machine or adapter compatibility should be verified against the EPB modular connection standard for Graflex 6 shanks.
Installation and adjustment should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting or removing the boring head from the machine. Ensure the modular connection interface is clean and free of chips or debris before assembly, and verify all locking mechanisms are fully engaged before initiating a cut. Diameter adjustment on manual boring heads should be made with the spindle stationary.
