The SECO 00026692 is a manual twin-cutter boring head designed for precision internal diameter machining on CNC machining centers and manual boring mills. With a body diameter of 54 mm (approximately 2.126 inches) and a Graflex 5 integral mount with a modular connection shank, this head accepts twin-cutter tooling for balanced cutting and improved surface finish. It covers a bore diameter range of 64 mm to 86 mm (approximately 2.52 inches to 3.39 inches), making it well suited for medium-bore applications. Actuation is manual, giving the operator direct control over diameter adjustment without powered tooling. The head belongs to the EPB series and weighs 1 pound.
This boring head is intended for use in metalworking environments where accurate bore sizing is required. The Graflex 5 modular connection shank integrates directly with compatible EPB-series tooling systems, allowing the unit to be mounted without an intermediate adaptor. Typical applications include finish boring of bearing housings, flanges, and precision bores in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is used by machinist tradespeople and toolroom technicians operating vertical or horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use with EPB-series modular tooling systems using a Graflex 5 modular connection interface. Specific machine and toolholder compatibility should be verified against the EPB system configuration in use.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with modular boring tooling systems. The spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or adjusting the boring head. Diameter adjustments should be made with the appropriate adjustment tool per the tooling system manufacturer's procedure, and the locking mechanism must be secured before initiating a cut. Refer to applicable shop safety standards and machine tool operating procedures during setup.
