The SECO 00023735 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip designed for slotting operations in the MM06 Minimaster series. This right-hand, 3-flute insert features a 0.250-inch cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 0.295 inches (7.5 mm). The tip carries a TiAlN and TiN PVD coating and is manufactured to the F30M grade, making it suited for steel, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials. Coolant-through capability is built in. The overall functional length is 0.390 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this tip as a quick-change cutting element on compatible Minimaster holders.
This milling tip is intended for use in production and job-shop environments where slotting cuts are performed on steel (P20, P30) and hard materials (H10). The 90-degree lead angle and 30-degree helix angle support controlled chip evacuation during full-width slotting passes. The E02 chipbreaker geometry contributes to chip control across the rated workpiece material range. Typical applications include slot milling, shallow pocketing, and peripheral profiling where a replaceable-tip system reduces downtime compared to solid end mills.
Designed for use with MM06 Minimaster series toolholders accepting the 0.250-A30 insert size. Consult the SECO MM06 Minimaster system documentation to confirm holder compatibility before ordering.
Installation of replaceable milling tips should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Use the torque wrench specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not use standard hex keys, as under- or over-torquing the clamping screw will affect runout and tip retention. Inspect the holder seat and clamping surfaces for chips or damage before seating the new tip. Verify coolant-through passages are clear before resuming operation.
