The SECO 00023305 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1 mm cutting diameter, a 0.1 mm corner radius, and a 1.5 mm length of cut, this tool is suited for fine-detail work where tight tolerances are critical. The MEGA-T coating extends tool life in a wide range of workpiece materials. It runs right-hand cutting with a right-hand flute direction, features centercutting capability, and is built on the JM920 series platform with extended reach geometry. This tool is installed and operated by CNC machinists and toolroom professionals working on precision milling equipment.
This end mill is designed for use in high-precision milling applications involving hardened steels, stainless and heat-resistant alloys, non-ferrous metals, and general steels. Its extended reach design, with a 4 mm reach length and a reduced 0.95 mm neck diameter, makes it effective for profiling, contouring, and slotting in areas with restricted access. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6 mm shank diameter provides secure clamping in standard collet and end mill holders. Applications span aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and general precision machining environments.
This tool is a SECO JM920 series corner radius end mill compatible with standard 6 mm straight-cylindrical collet and end mill holders. It is rated for workpiece material codes H, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened materials, stainless and heat-resistant alloys, non-ferrous metals, steels, and superalloys.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Secure the 6 mm shank in a properly sized, clean collet or shrink-fit holder to minimize runout. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius under magnification before use, as chips or edge damage on micro-diameter tools may not be visible to the naked eye. Follow the machine tool builder and cutting tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut — do not rely on parameters from larger-diameter tooling.
