The SECO 00022250 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 6 mm cutting diameter, an 8 mm length of cut, and a 0.1 mm corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the HEMI coating improves wear resistance and surface finish performance. With an overall length of 65 mm and a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this single-end, centercutting tool is suited for milling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills alike.
This end mill is built for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, and similar N-class workpiece materials. The extended reach design, with an 18 mm reach length and a 5.70 mm neck diameter, allows access to deeper features and pockets without requiring an extended-reach holder. The JH40 series geometry, combined with a 25-degree medium helix angle, delivers stable cutting at elevated feed rates common in non-ferrous roughing. It is a single-piece, ready-to-run tool requiring no assembly.
Designed for use in non-ferrous metal machining applications, specifically workpiece material code N, including aluminum and similar materials. Fits standard 6 mm collet chucks and tool holders with a straight-cylindrical shank bore.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machining personnel with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per facility safety protocols. Ensure the shank is seated to the correct gauge depth in the collet or holder before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.01 mm after tooling is secured. Consult the machine manufacturer and applicable machining standards for spindle speed and feed rate recommendations specific to the workpiece material.
