The SECO 00022006 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Built on the JH910 series platform, it features a 6 mm cutting diameter with a 0.3 mm corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool-workpiece interface and extends component life. The 3-flute geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the MEGA coating improves wear resistance and thermal stability. At 80 mm overall length with a 7 mm length of cut and 26 mm reach, this is a single-end, centercutting tool suited to slotting, profiling, and roughing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers performing roughing operations on workpieces classified under material codes P, M, K, and S. Typical applications include die and mold work, general toolroom machining, and production milling of ferrous components. The straight-cylindrical shank with h5 shank diameter tolerance ensures reliable chuck engagement in collet and end mill holders. The extended reach geometry and reduced 5.6 mm neck diameter allow access to recessed features without sacrificing rigidity at the cutting zone.
Designed for use on CNC machining centers cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature superalloys. Part of the SECO JH910 series. Shank diameter tolerance h5 is compatible with precision collet chucks and hydraulic end mill holders accepting 6 mm straight-cylindrical shanks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended gauge length in the holder and torque the clamping mechanism per the holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout does not exceed the 0.01 mm TIR maximum before engaging the workpiece.
