The SECO 00019479 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for cutting hard materials in demanding machining environments. It features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 0.6 mm corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix angle. The cutting length is 7 mm with an overall length of 55 mm. A MEGA-T coating provides thermal and wear resistance during high-speed roughing operations in hard workpiece materials. The extended-reach geometry and 5.60 mm neck diameter allow access in deeper cavities. Machinists and CNC tooling technicians specify this end mill for finish-quality corners on hardened steel and similarly difficult substrates.
This end mill is suited for single-end roughing applications in hard material (material code H) such as hardened steels and tool steels. The short flute length with extended reach makes it appropriate for cavity milling, die and mold work, and profiling passes where rigidity and runout control are critical. It belongs to SECO Series JH120. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard collet chucks or shrink-fit holders sized for 6 mm shanks. It is a single-package, single-piece tool intended for CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option within the SECO Series JH120 family, intended for use in CNC machining centers equipped with collet chucks or shrink-fit holders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet or shrink-fit holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use; carbide is brittle and a damaged edge can fracture under load.
