Built to the LCMF160302-A125-FT style specification, it features a micrograin carbide substrate with a PVD-applied TiAlN/TiN coating under the CP500 manufacturer grade. The insert delivers a maximum cutting width of 0.125 inches, a cutting height of 0.177 inches, and a corner radius of 0.008 inches. The FT chipbreaker geometry and neutral hand orientation make it adaptable to both left- and right-hand toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC tool technicians are the primary installers for this insert.
This insert belongs to the MDT (Multi-Directional Turning) series and is suited for a broad range of applications including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, and superalloys. This insert is installed and replaced by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before changing inserts, power down the spindle and ensure the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Use a torque wrench appropriate for the toolholder clamping screw to avoid over-tightening, and inspect the toolholder pocket for wear or debris before seating the new insert.
