The SECO 00013865 is a neutral-hand MTEN-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from steel with a 3/4 x 3/4 inch square shank and an overall length of 4.5 inches, it accepts TN..43. series triangular inserts secured by a clamp and pin holding method. The negative rake angle of -10 degrees promotes edge strength and is well suited for interrupted cuts and harder workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators will find this holder fits standard tool post and turret positions sized for 3/4 inch shank tooling.
This toolholder is appropriate for a wide range of turning applications across universal workpiece materials, including steel, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous alloys, superalloys, and aluminum, corresponding to ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. The neutral cutting direction makes it effective on both right-hand and center-line approaches. It is part of the SECO Multiple Lock series, which uses a combined clamp and pin system to resist insert movement under heavy cutting loads. Typical use is in production turning environments where consistent insert seating and repeatable tool nose position are required.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or replacing the toolholder in the turret or tool post. Ensure the shank seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before clamping to maintain tool nose height accuracy. Follow the machine manufacturer torque guidelines for tool post or turret clamping hardware; do not overtighten, as this can distort the shank.
