The SECO 00013316 is a right-hand indexable turning toolholder in the SCRCR-8-3 configuration, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It uses a screw clamping method to secure a CCMT 32.52 insert with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. The shank measures 0.5 inches wide by 0.5 inches tall, with an overall length of 3.5 inches. This toolholder carries a neutral rake angle of 0 degrees and accepts right-hand cutting direction inserts. It belongs to SECO's Multi-Directional Turning series and is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop turning environments.
This toolholder is suited for general-purpose external turning across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, and heat-resistant superalloys, as indicated by the primary material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The SCRC toolholder style is commonly used in medium-duty roughing and finishing passes where reliable insert indexing and repeatable tool positioning are required. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery and is not a multi-use tool.
Designed for use with CCMT 32.52 inserts with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and compatible insert size code CC325. Fits standard 0.5 inch square shank tool blocks and turrets on CNC lathes and manual turning centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is indexed to a safe position before mounting or removing the toolholder. Use the appropriate insert screw torque driver specified for CCMT screw-clamp toolholders to avoid damaging the insert pocket. Confirm shank seating and tool overhang before resuming cutting operations.
