The SECO 00012879 is a right-hand MVJN-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a negative 4-degree rake angle and a 93-degree lead angle, making it well suited for roughing and finishing passes where cutting forces need to be managed through neutral-to-negative geometry. The shank measures 1 inch wide by 1 inch tall with an overall length of 6 inches. This toolholder accepts VNMG 432 inserts secured by a top clamp, a reliable holding method for maintaining insert position under heavy cuts.

This toolholder is used in turning applications across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, reflected by its universal primary workpiece material classification.
