The SECO 00008510 is a CCMT32.51-F1 solid carbide turning insert with a TP40 manufacturer grade and a multilayer CVD coating of TiC, TiCN, and TiN. It features an 80-degree diamond insert shape, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/64-inch corner radius. The F1 chip breaker geometry delivers a sharp cutting edge with positive rake, making this insert well suited for finishing and light roughing operations on steel and stainless steel. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in screw-held toolholders for turning, facing, and boring applications.
This insert is designed for primary use on steel (ISO material code P) and stainless steel (ISO material code M). It is appropriate for CCMT-compatible screw-on toolholders used in CNC lathes and turning centers across general machining, production, and job-shop environments. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.3661 inches and a neutral hand orientation, it supports a range of standard turning setups without requiring dedicated left- or right-hand tooling. The insert carries both ANSI and ISO compliance and is identified by ISO code CCMT09T304-F1.
Compatible with CCMT-style screw-on toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO standards. ISO code CCMT09T304-F1 applies for cross-referencing with ISO-designated tooling systems. Verify toolholder insert pocket specifications before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamping screw to secure the insert — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
