The SECO 00007670 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert designed for demanding metal removal operations on superalloys and titanium. It carries the ANSI insert code TNMG544 and ISO code TNMG270616, with a 60-degree triangular shape and a neutral hand orientation. The MR4 chip breaker geometry is engineered for roughing and medium machining applications, delivering a cutting edge style classified as T-Land. With a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) inscribed circle and a 1/16 inch (0.0630 inch) corner radius, this insert is sized for moderate-to-heavy depth-of-cut work. Licensed machinists, tool and die operators, and CNC turning center technicians are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, and back turning operations on superalloys and titanium workpieces where high wear resistance through high toughness is required. The 883 grade targets S-category primary workpiece materials (superalloys and titanium) and also covers secondary material codes M, K, N, and H, making it a versatile option across multiple work materials. Negative rake and negative side clearance geometry support stable, controlled cuts at moderate-to-high feed rates. It is compatible with toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever lock insert holding methods.

Confirm insert seating and edge indexing before resuming cutting operations.
