The SECO 00007320 is a solid carbide, uncoated triangular turning insert in the TNMG series, designed for precision metal cutting in demanding machining applications. The insert carries grade 883 and features a neutral hand orientation with a T-Land cutting edge style. Key specs include a 1/4 inch inscribed circle, a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch), and a maximum depth of cut of 0.4173 inches. With six available cutting edges per insert, it delivers extended tool life across roughing and finishing passes. This insert is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working with difficult-to-machine materials.
The 00007320 is engineered primarily for superalloys and titanium (ISO material group S), with secondary suitability for steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials (groups M, K, and N). Typical applications include turning, facing, boring, and back turning operations. The MR4 chip breaker geometry is suited for the interrupted and continuous cuts common when machining high-strength aerospace and industrial alloy components. The negative rake angle and 60-degree included angle contribute to insert stability and edge strength under high-load cutting conditions.

Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure for clamp, pin, or lever-lock systems. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surface are clean and free of chips before installation, as contamination can cause improper seating and premature edge failure. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts.
