Product Description

The SECO 00005684 is a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) turning insert designed for high-speed machining of non-ferrous metals and other difficult-to-cut materials. It carries the CCMW insert style with a flat-top chip breaker, an 80-degree diamond shape, and a positive rake geometry. The inscribed circle measures 0.25 inches (6.35 mm), the corner radius is 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch), and the insert thickness is 0.0937 inches (3/32 inch). The PCD20 grade delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for aluminum, copper, composites, and similar non-ferrous workpieces. The uncoated, bright finish preserves the sharp cutting edge geometry straight from the package. This insert is held in place by screw clamping and is single-tipped with one cutting edge per insert.

This insert is suited for CNC turning centers and manual lathes running non-ferrous metal stock. Typical applications include boring, facing, and turning operations where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. Installation Notes
