The SECO 00003266 is an indexable chamfer angle face mill designed for precision facing operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built on the R220.43 platform, this cutter accepts five OF 070405 inserts held in place by a wedge-clamping method, delivering a positive rake angle for efficient chip formation and reduced cutting forces. The tool has a 3.15-inch nominal cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 inches, and a 1-inch arbor hole for secure spindle mounting. It is rated to a maximum of 5000 RPM and cuts in a right-hand direction. This mill is typically installed and operated by machinists and CNC tool-setup technicians working in production or job-shop settings.
This face mill is suited for facing applications on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in both horizontal and vertical milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The R220.43 series is configured for normal pitch insert spacing across five flutes, making it appropriate for medium to high material-removal-rate facing passes. The arbor hole measures 1 inch in diameter with a 0.38-inch keyway width to ensure positive drive engagement during heavy cuts.
Compatible with OF 070405 series indexable inserts. Designed for use in milling machines and CNC machining centers equipped with a 1-inch arbor and a 0.38-inch keyway drive.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the cutter. Verify that the arbor and keyway dimensions of the machine spindle match the cutter bore before installation. Inspect and seat each insert fully before operation, and confirm all wedge clamps are properly secured per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines.
