The SECO 00000845 is a single-end carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the T25M manufacturer grade with a CVD-applied TiC/TiCN/TiN multilayer coating, which supports consistent performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert measures 0.088 inches in cutting width and 0.354 inches in overall length, with a corner radius of 0.006 inches. It is clamped into compatible cutoff toolholders and is suitable for installation by machinists and CNC tooling technicians working in production turning environments.
This insert is suited for cut-off and parting applications on universal workpiece materials, including steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, as designated by primary workpiece material code O. It belongs to SECO Series 150.10, which is engineered for narrow-width parting work. The neutral lead angle and neutral hand orientation make it adaptable to a wide range of machine setups. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 10 units per transaction.
Designed for use with compatible SECO Series 150.10 cutoff and parting toolholders that accept the 2.25 insert size code with clamp-style holding.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct clamping screw torque as specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten, as this can crack the carbide substrate. Verify insert seating and alignment in the pocket before resuming cutting operations.
