The SECO 00000219 is a WNMG332-MR3 style indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer TiAlN and TiN coating applied via PVD process. Carrying the CP500 manufacturer grade, this insert features an 80-degree trigon shape, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The MR3 chip breaker geometry uses a chamfered and honed cutting edge style with a negative rake angle and neutral hand orientation. It is suited for high-productivity turning, facing, and boring operations and is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians on lathes and turning centers.
This insert is primarily designed for machining stainless steel (ISO material code M) and is also rated for steel, cast iron, and super-alloys and titanium. It fits WNMG-MR3 series toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods. The insert conforms to ANSI and ISO standards, with an ISO designation of WNMG060408-MR3 and an industry standard number of WNMG332-MR3. Material grades M10, M20, and M30 are specified, making it a versatile choice across a range of cutting conditions for stainless and related alloys. Boring, facing, and turning are all listed multi-use applications.

Insert indexing and replacement should be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate torque wrench and seating tool for the specific toolholder clamping style — clamp, pin, or lever lock — to ensure the insert seats flush against the pocket walls. Inspect the insert pocket for wear or debris before seating a new edge. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for the clamping screw, as over-tightening can fracture the carbide substrate.
