The SEAL-TITE 301-14 is a 14-inch Airtite takeoff fitting designed for sheet metal ductwork systems in residential and light commercial HVAC applications. Takeoff fittings connect branch ducts to main trunk lines, allowing conditioned air to be distributed to individual zones or rooms. The 301-14 is sized at 14 inches, making it suitable for medium to larger branch runs where adequate airflow delivery is required. Licensed HVAC technicians and sheet metal installers work with this type of fitting during new construction duct fabrication or duct renovation projects.
This takeoff is intended for use in forced-air heating and cooling systems where supply or return ductwork branches off a rectangular or round trunk duct. The Airtite design is built to maintain a tight seal at the connection point, reducing air leakage and supporting system efficiency. It fits into standard sheet metal duct assemblies and is appropriate for both residential furnace and air handler installations as well as light commercial rooftop unit distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for standard sheet metal forced-air duct systems requiring a 14-inch branch takeoff connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified sheet metal installer in accordance with SMACNA standards and applicable local mechanical codes. Power down the air handling equipment before making any duct connections. Secure the fitting to the trunk duct using appropriate sheet metal screws and seal all joints with listed duct sealant or mastic to comply with energy code requirements. Avoid overtightening fasteners, which can deform the fitting collar and compromise the airtight seal.
