The SEAL-TITE 301-10 is a 10-inch airtite duct takeoff fitting designed to create a leak-resistant connection between a main duct trunk and a branch run in forced-air HVAC systems. Constructed from galvanized steel, it features a precision-formed collar that seats tightly against the duct surface, minimizing air loss and maintaining system static pressure. Licensed HVAC technicians install this fitting during new construction duct fabrication or duct retrofit work where a clean, low-leakage branch connection is required.
The 301-10 is suited for both residential and light commercial HVAC installations where 10-inch round branch ducts are specified. It performs well in supply-air trunk-and-branch layouts and is appropriate for any forced-air system requiring reliable airflow balance at the takeoff point. The galvanized steel construction holds up in attic, crawlspace, and mechanical room environments where moisture and temperature cycling are common.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 10-inch round branch duct connections in residential and commercial forced-air HVAC systems.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified sheet metal mechanics. Power down the air handler and close the system before cutting into an existing trunk duct. Secure the takeoff collar with sheet metal screws and seal all joints with UL 181-rated duct sealant or mastic per applicable mechanical codes. Avoid relying on duct tape alone as the primary air seal.
