The SDC - SECURITY DOOR CONTROLS 15-4S12U is a heavy-duty electric strike designed for use in commercial and institutional access control systems. Operating at 12 volts DC, this unit provides reliable electrified locking at standard door openings. The 15-4S12U ships in a 630 satin stainless finish, making it suited for applications where corrosion resistance and a clean appearance are required. Licensed locksmiths, access control integrators, and security technicians are the typical installers. The strike replaces the standard door frame strike and allows the latch or locking bar to release on demand when triggered by an access control signal.
The 15-4S12U is intended for commercial and light institutional door openings where electrified access control is required. It mounts in the door frame in place of a conventional strike plate and works with standard latch-bolt hardware. Typical applications include office entry doors, stairwell access points, and interior security doors in buildings where controlled entry is managed by a card reader, keypad, or intercom system. The 630 satin stainless finish suits interior and moderate-exposure exterior environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation electric strike for commercial door frames using standard latch-bolt locksets in access control applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed locksmith or qualified access control technician. Disconnect and de-energize the access control panel and any related low-voltage wiring before beginning work. The electric strike mounts in the door frame cutout in place of the existing strike plate; verify frame depth and strike dimensions match the opening before installing. Wiring should comply with applicable local codes and NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for low-voltage access control circuits.
