The SCOTCH 7100019551 is a tan paper masking tape engineered for high-temperature applications in industrial, automotive, and trade environments. Built on a conformable paper backing with a rubber adhesive, it delivers a tensile strength of 27 lb/in and withstands temperatures up to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) for up to 30 minutes at bake temperature. The tape measures 12 mm wide and 60 yards long with a 6 mil thickness. It removes cleanly after heat exposure without leaving adhesive residue, making it suitable for paint masking, powder coating, and anodizing processes. Licensed trades and industrial technicians use this tape where controlled unwind and clean removal are required.
This tape is suited for use on aluminum anodized surfaces and in applications requiring solvent and moisture resistance. Typical install scenarios include masking before spray painting, powder coating ovens, and metal finishing lines. The easy-tear feature allows for quick hand application without a dispenser. It is appropriate for holding and bundling tasks where a conformable, sliver-resistant tape is needed in both shop and field settings.
Designed for use on aluminum anodized surfaces and general masking applications requiring high-temperature performance and clean removal. Not suitable for outdoor or prolonged UV exposure.
Apply to clean, dry surfaces free of oil and dust before use. Power down or de-energize any heated equipment before applying or removing tape in electrical or HVAC contexts. Do not subject this tape to outdoor exposure or leave applied beyond the recommended bake cycle. Remove tape promptly after the heat process to ensure clean release.
