The SCOTCH 7000124628 is a fiberglass-reinforced packing tape built for high-demand bundling, strapping, and reinforcing applications. It is constructed from a polyester film backing with a rubber adhesive system and measures 1-3/8 inches wide at 8 mil thick. The fiberglass reinforcement delivers a tensile strength of 600 pounds per inch, making it suitable for securing heavy loads and withstanding stress during handling and transport. This tape meets ASTM D-5330 Type III standards and is part of the 890MSR series. It is installed by warehouse personnel, tradespeople, and contractors who need a reliable, high-strength strapping solution.
This tape is designed for bundling, pipe bundling, reinforcing, and strapping tasks in both commercial and industrial settings. At 55 meters in length per roll and 1-3/8 inches wide, it provides extended coverage per roll for repetitive or large-scale jobs. Its clear polyester film backing keeps it low-profile on finished surfaces, while the rubber adhesive ensures a firm bond on corrugated cartons, pipes, and similar substrates.
Designed for bundling, pipe bundling, reinforcing, and strapping applications on corrugated cartons, pipes, and other surfaces where a high-tensile reinforced tape is required.
Apply to clean, dry surfaces free of dust, oil, or moisture for maximum adhesion. No tools are required for hand-tear application; a tape dispenser is recommended for high-volume use to maintain consistent tension and straight cuts. When used for strapping or bundling, ensure the load is stable before applying tension to the tape. Dispose of used tape rolls in accordance with local waste regulations.
