The SCIENTIFIC CUTTING TOOLS AND10050-2S is a porting tool designed to machine precise spotface seats in tube fittings and hydraulic or pneumatic porting applications. It produces a 0.742-inch spotface diameter and accepts 1/8-inch tube outside diameter connections. The tool features a plain pilot type with a minimum pilot diameter of 0.270 inches and a maximum pilot diameter of 0.3305 inches, with a pilot length of 0.294 inches. Built to AND 10050 standard, it is a three-flute, straight-flute design with a bright finish. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this tool to prepare port faces for leak-free tube fitting seats in precision metalworking environments.
This porting tool is suited for use on tube workpieces requiring a consistent 30-degree seal angle and UNF thread type preparation. It is appropriate for aerospace, industrial fluid power, and hydraulic system assembly work where AND 10050 compliance is specified. The 1/2-inch shank diameter fits standard milling machine and drill press collet setups, and the 3-inch overall length provides adequate clearance for most bench and machine setups. No identification groove is present on this variant, which corresponds to the Tube Dash 2 designation for 1/8-inch tube OD configurations.
Designed for use on tube workpieces per AND 10050 standard, specifically for Tube Dash 2 applications with 1/8-inch tube outside diameter and UNF thread type port configurations.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists using milling machines, drill presses, or CNC equipment fitted with a 1/2-inch collet or chuck. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and ensure the spindle is fully stopped before tool changes or inspection. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and manufacturer feeds-and-speeds guidance for the workpiece material. Do not exceed the tool's rated pilot diameter range when selecting pilot bushings or guides.
