The SCHWANK S100-175-60-AN is a radiant infrared tube heater rated at 175,000 BTU/h input, designed for natural gas service. It features a 60-inch tube assembly, a builder-grade reflector, and wire hangers for suspension mounting. Power supply is 120 volts AC with 24-volt AC low-voltage controls. A flexible gas connector is included. The unit ships without an electrical cord and plug, without tube coating, and without status indicator lights. Licensed HVAC technicians and commercial heating contractors are the typical installers for this type of radiant heating equipment.
The S100-175-60-AN is suited for large open commercial and industrial spaces such as warehouses, garages, agricultural buildings, and manufacturing facilities where radiant overhead heating is preferred over forced-air systems. The builder reflector directs radiant heat downward toward the occupied zone, making this heater effective in high-bay or open-ceiling applications where conditioned air would be difficult to retain. Its natural gas configuration makes it appropriate for facilities with existing gas service and no requirement for LP conversion.
Designed as an OEM-specification radiant infrared tube heater for commercial and industrial natural gas heating installations requiring a 175,000 BTU/h input capacity with a builder reflector configuration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC or gas-fitting contractor in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) and all applicable local codes. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before servicing or repositioning the unit. Verify adequate clearances to combustibles per the manufacturer label and local authority having jurisdiction before mounting. The unit does not include a power cord and plug, so hardwired or pigtail electrical connection by a qualified electrician is required.
