The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC XB4AS1 is a 2-position maintained selector switch with contact blocks, designed for panel-mount control applications in industrial and commercial electrical systems. It features a non-illuminated black lever operator that stays in the selected position after actuation, making it suitable for on/off or left/right circuit selection tasks. The switch mounts through a 22 mm panel hole using a screw clamp terminal connection and carries a single normally open (NO) contact block. It is UL Listed, CSA Certified, and CE Certified per IEC, meeting requirements for a wide range of installation environments.
This selector switch is used in control panels, machine operator interfaces, and industrial enclosures where a durable, non-illuminated lever-style selector is required. It operates in both the left and right positions, supporting maintained-contact logic in two-state control circuits. Typical installers include licensed electricians and industrial control panel builders working on new construction or retrofit control assemblies. Its NEMA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 12, and 13 ratings make it appropriate for both indoor general-duty and some environmental-exposure applications.
Designed as an OEM-style panel-mount selector switch for 22 mm industrial control panel cutouts rated for NEMA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 12, and 13 enclosure environments.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize the control panel and verify absence of voltage before installing or wiring the switch. Secure the switch body through the 22 mm panel cutout per the manufacturer torque guidelines and connect conductors to the screw clamp terminals using an appropriate screwdriver. Do not exceed the rated electrical load for the contact block.
