The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC REXL2TMF7 is a double-pole double-throw (DPDT) time delay relay designed for power-on delay applications in industrial and commercial control circuits. It features an 8-pin configuration, operates at 120 volts AC, and supports a timing range from 0.1 seconds up to 100 hours. Timing adjustment is made via a front-mounted knob, allowing field technicians to dial in the required delay without additional tools. Rated at 5 amps contact capacity, this relay is a compact, panel-mount control component suited for sequence control, motor starting delay, and HVAC or electrical system timing functions.
This relay is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial control applications where a programmable power-on delay is required. Typical installations include HVAC control panels, motor control centers, and electrical enclosures where sequenced startup timing protects downstream equipment. The multiple timing range capability makes it adaptable across a wide variety of delay requirements within a single device, reducing the need to stock multiple fixed-range relays. Licensed electricians and controls technicians are the primary installers of this component.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for 8-pin socket-mount DPDT time delay relays used in commercial and industrial control panel applications.
Installation of this relay should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the control panel and verify absence of voltage before removing or inserting the relay into its socket base. Ensure the socket base pin configuration matches the REXL2TMF7 8-pin layout before installation. Set the timing knob to the required delay value after installation and before restoring power.
