The Schneider Electric QO350GFI is a 50-amp, 2-pole miniature circuit breaker with ground fault interruption (GFI) protection. It uses a thermal magnetic trip mechanism with common trip design, meaning both poles open simultaneously on a fault. This breaker is built for installation in QO loadcenters, NQOD panelboards, and OEM Interior/Speed-D[T] switchboard distribution panels. Licensed electricians install this device during new construction, panel upgrades, or branch circuit protection replacements where NEC ground fault protection requirements apply. At 2.25 inches wide, 2.91 inches deep, and 4.12 inches tall, it fits standard QO-series enclosures without modification.
This circuit breaker is suited for residential and light commercial electrical distribution panels. It is compatible with aluminum wire ranging from 12 to 4 AWG and copper wire from 14 to 6 AWG, covering a broad range of branch circuit wiring configurations. Typical applications include 240-volt branch circuits requiring ground fault protection, such as those serving HVAC equipment, water heaters, or other high-load appliances where NEC mandates GFI protection. It is manufactured in the United States and carries both UL and CSA approvals.
Designed for use in Square D QO loadcenters, NQOD panelboards, and OEM Interior/Speed-D[T] switchboard distribution panels as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always de-energize the panel and verify the absence of voltage with a meter before handling any breaker or wiring. Confirm that conductor sizing and insulation type are appropriate for the 50-amp rating and the panel type before landing wires. Do not install in enclosures other than those listed as compatible by the manufacturer.
