The Schneider Electric QO142L225PQG is a main lug load center rated for 225 amps at 120/240 volts AC in a 1-phase, 3-wire configuration. It provides up to 42 circuit spaces and uses QO-series plug-on breakers, eliminating the need for screw-mounted hardware during installation. The copper bus is rated at 65 kiloamps interrupting capacity, meeting the demands of modern residential and light commercial service entrances. The Qwik-Grip wire entry system includes an integrated wire bend guide that lets the installer slide conductors directly into position without removing knockouts or fishing wire blindly. This load center is installed by licensed electricians working on new construction or panel replacement projects.
The QO142L225PQG is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a main lug panel feeds a sub-panel arrangement or where the main disconnect is located upstream. The NEMA 1 indoor-rated enclosure fits standard interior installations in conditioned or protected spaces. The panel accepts main wire sizes from 6 AWG up to 300 KCMIL in both aluminum and copper conductors, providing flexibility for the service entrance feeder. A ground bar is included from the factory, reducing the need for additional hardware on the job.
Designed for use with QO-series plug-on circuit breakers. Main frame size is compatible with QOM2 main breaker frame where a main breaker kit is added. Accepts conductors from 6 AWG to 300 KCMIL in aluminum or copper.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the upstream service or feeder completely before making any connections. Verify that the enclosure location is suitable for a NEMA 1 indoor rating and that the enclosure is properly bonded per NEC requirements for sub-panel applications. Do not use the panel in wet or outdoor locations without an appropriately rated enclosure.
