The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LXD3T7 is a replacement contactor coil designed for use with TeSys D series contactors rated from 40 to 65 amps. The coil is the electromagnetic actuator that opens and closes contactor contacts in response to a control voltage signal, making it a critical component in motor control centers, panel boards, and industrial control circuits. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians replace this coil when a contactor fails to pick up or drop out correctly while the contact block remains serviceable. Dimensions are 3.9 inches in length, 2.3 inches in width, and 2.3 inches in height, and the unit weighs 0.35 pounds.
This coil fits contactors used in both commercial and light industrial applications where TeSys D frame contactors control three-phase or single-phase motor loads. Typical installation scenarios include HVAC compressor contactors, pump motor starters, conveyor controls, and other continuous-duty switching applications. The LXD3T7 allows technicians to restore a failed contactor to service by replacing only the coil sub-assembly rather than the entire contactor body, reducing parts cost and downtime.
Designed for use with LC1D40A through LC1D65A, LC1DT60A, LC1DT80A, and TeSys D series contactors as specified by SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and the panel or motor control center's existing lockout/tagout procedures. De-energize and verify absence of voltage on all supply and control circuits before removing the existing coil. The coil sub-assembly slides or snaps into the contactor frame; do not force the coil or bend the magnetic yoke during removal or installation. Verify the replacement coil voltage rating matches the control circuit voltage before restoring power.
