The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LRD106 is a thermal IEC overload relay rated for 4 to 6 amps at up to 690 VAC. It uses thermal sensing to detect sustained overcurrent conditions and protect downstream motors and contactors from damage caused by overload faults. Trip Class 10A provides fast response suited to standard motor protection applications. Licensed electricians and industrial controls technicians install this relay as part of a motor starter assembly in panel boards and control enclosures.
This relay is designed for use in motor control applications requiring IEC-compliant overload protection. It mounts directly to compatible contactors, making it a practical choice for residential, commercial, and light industrial motor starter circuits. The LRD106 is specified for use with LC1D09 and LC1D38 contactors, fitting neatly into those starter assemblies without additional hardware.
Specified for use with SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LC1D09 and LC1D38 contactors. Designed as an IEC-style overload relay for direct-mount motor starter assemblies using compatible D-line contactors.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before mounting or wiring the relay. Verify that the current setting is adjusted to match the full-load amperage of the motor being protected before energizing the circuit. Do not exceed the rated voltage or current range of the relay.
