The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LA4DC3U is a suppressor module designed to reduce voltage transients and electrical noise generated when a contactor coil is de-energized. Installed directly on compatible TeSys D series contactors, this accessory protects control circuit components from damaging voltage spikes that occur during switching. The LA4DC3U is a compact, plug-in accessory that mounts directly to the coil terminals of the contactor without additional hardware. Electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install this module as part of a properly engineered motor control or power distribution panel.
The LA4DC3U is intended for use with TeSys D series contactors in industrial and commercial motor control applications. It is suited for installation in motor control centers, machine control panels, and automation enclosures where coil suppression is required to protect downstream control logic or sensitive instrumentation. Compatible contactors include the LC1D80 through LC1D95, LC1D400 through LC1D650, LP1D80, and LP1D400 through LP1D650 series. This module is appropriate for both new panel builds and retrofit applications where transient suppression has been identified as a reliability requirement.
Designed for use with LC1D400 through LC1D650, LC1D80 through LC1D95, LP1D400 through LP1D650, LP1D80, and TeSys D series contactors as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the contactor and all associated control circuits before handling any accessories or wiring. The module plugs directly onto the coil terminal block of the contactor — verify contactor model compatibility before installation. Do not attempt to install or remove the module while the contactor is energized.
