The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC GB2CB06 is a 1-amp, 1-pole thermal magnetic circuit protector designed for DIN rail mounting in industrial and commercial control panels. It provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection for individual branch circuits and control circuits within enclosures. The thermal magnetic trip mechanism responds to both sustained overloads and instantaneous fault currents, offering multiple breaking capacity ratings to suit varying fault-level environments. Typical installers include licensed electricians and industrial control panel builders working on machine control, HVAC equipment panels, or automation systems. The toggle switch reset actuator allows for quick manual reset after a trip event.
This circuit protector is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial control panel applications where compact, DIN rail-mounted branch circuit protection is required. Its slim 0.6-inch width allows for dense panel layouts, and its compliance with EN/IEC 60947-2, UL 1077, and CSA C22.2 No. 235 makes it appropriate for both North American and international panel builds. It is commonly installed to protect low-voltage control circuits powering relays, contactors, transformers, and similar loads in switchgear assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard DIN rail circuit protector suitable for industrial control panels requiring IEC- and UL-listed branch circuit protection on standard 35mm DIN rail.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the NEC or applicable local electrical codes. De-energize the panel and verify zero voltage at the installation point before mounting or wiring the device. The unit clips directly onto a standard 35mm DIN rail; ensure conductors are properly terminated and torqued per the panel wiring specifications. Do not exceed the device's rated amperage or apply it to circuits with available fault currents beyond its published breaking capacity rating.
