The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 9421LS8 is a door mount disconnect switch handle designed as an accessory for a wide range of Square D molded case circuit breakers. The painted handle mounts to the enclosure door, allowing operators to open and close the breaker from outside the panel without direct access to live internal components. It accommodates breaker current ratings from 75 amperes up to 1200 amperes across multiple breaker series, making it a versatile handle solution for both light commercial and heavy industrial panel applications. Licensed electricians install this accessory during panel assembly or retrofit work.
This handle is suited for use with Square D breaker series covering GJL at 75 to 100 amperes, FAL, FCL, and FHL at 100 amperes, KAL, KCL, and KHL at 250 amperes, LAL, LHL, and Q4L at 400 amperes, MEL and MXL at 800 amperes, MAL and MHL at 1000 amperes, and NAL, NCL, NEL, and NXL at 1200 amperes. The mounting depth range of 8.25 inches to 12.75 inches allows installation across enclosures of varying door depths. Typical installation scenarios include new panel builds and field retrofits on distribution boards in commercial, industrial, and utility settings.
Compatible with Square D molded case circuit breakers in the following series and ratings: GJL 75 to 100 amperes, FAL, FCL, and FHL 100 amperes, KAL, KCL, and KHL 250 amperes, LAL, LHL, and Q4L 400 amperes, MEL and MXL 800 amperes, MAL and MHL 1000 amperes, and NAL, NCL, NEL, and NXL 1200 amperes.
Installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lockout/tagout the panel before installing or removing any circuit breaker accessory. Verify that the enclosure door depth falls within the 8.25-inch to 12.75-inch mounting depth range before installation. Do not attempt to modify the handle mechanism or force operation while the panel is energized.
