The Schneider Electric 9013FYG2J21 is a commercial-grade pressure switch designed to automatically start and stop a motor or pump based on system pressure. It operates with a factory-set cut-in pressure of 30 psi and a cut-out pressure of 50 psi, with a maximum system pressure rating of 80 psi. The switch is part of the Square D 9013FY series and is built for use in compressed air, water supply, and similar fluid-handling systems. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pump service professionals are the primary installers of this device.
This pressure switch is suited for residential and light commercial applications where automatic pump or compressor cycling is required. Typical installations include well water systems, air compressors, and pressure-boosting pump assemblies. The 30-50 psi differential range makes it a standard fit for residential water well pump control applications. The 80 psi maximum working pressure limits its use to low-to-medium pressure systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install pressure switch for residential and light commercial pump and compressor control systems operating within the 30-50 psi range and up to 80 psi maximum system pressure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician. Before servicing or replacing this switch, shut off all power to the pump motor and relieve system pressure completely. Verify that the system working pressure does not exceed the 80 psi maximum rating before commissioning. Local plumbing and electrical codes, including applicable NEC requirements for motor control wiring, should be followed during installation.
