The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 9001KS43K5 is a 3-position, maintained-action key selector switch operator designed for industrial control panel applications. It features a 30mm mounting hole diameter, an octagonal chrome metal bezel, and a key-operated mechanism that requires a physical key to rotate between positions. The key can be removed only at the center position, adding a layer of access control for equipment lockout and operator restriction scenarios. This operator head does not include contact blocks and must be paired with compatible block assemblies. It is installed by licensed electricians and control panel technicians.
This selector switch is suited for use in industrial and commercial control panels where operator access restriction is required. The maintained-action design holds the selected position until physically moved, making it appropriate for mode selection, circuit switching, and equipment enable/disable functions. Its IP66 ingress protection rating and shock- and vibration-resistant construction make it reliable in demanding environments including manufacturing floors, pump stations, and outdoor enclosures. NEMA ratings of 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 12, and 13 cover a broad range of indoor and outdoor installation scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style operator head for 30mm industrial control panel selector switch assemblies. Contact blocks are sold separately and are not included with this operator. Verify contact block compatibility before ordering.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC guidelines and the enclosure manufacturer's specifications. De-energize the control panel and follow all lockout/tagout procedures before mounting or servicing. Ensure the panel cutout matches the 30mm mounting diameter before installation. Contact blocks must be ordered and attached separately to complete the switch assembly.
