The SCHLAGE pc53-j-rho-613 is a Grade 1 cylindrical storeroom lock designed for commercial and institutional door applications. It features the Rhodes lever trim and is prepared for Full Sized Interchangeable Core (FSIC) cylinder installation but ships without a core, allowing facilities to install their existing large-format IC cylinder. The 2-3/4 inch backset accommodates standard commercial door preparations, and the lock ships with an ANSI-compatible strike. The Oil Rubbed Bronze (613/US10B) finish provides a dark, understated appearance suitable for period-style or contemporary commercial interiors. Installation and keying are handled by a licensed locksmith or qualified door hardware technician.
This lock is suited for storeroom function applications in commercial buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and institutional environments. Storeroom function means the outside lever is always locked and can only be retracted by a key or credential, while the inside lever is always free for egress. The FSIC prep accepts large-format interchangeable cores from compatible keying systems, making it a practical choice for facilities managing master key or access control programs. The included latch (47280169) and strike (47267101) are matched components for this assembly.
Designed for use with large-format interchangeable core (LFIC) cylinders in FSIC-prepared cylindrical lock applications. Compatible latch is 47280169 and compatible strike is 47267101, both included. Verify door prep, backset, and core manufacturer compatibility before ordering.
Installation should be performed by a licensed locksmith or qualified door hardware technician familiar with cylindrical lock chassis and interchangeable core systems. Power down or secure any electrified hardware on the door before servicing the lockset. Confirm the door prep meets ANSI/BHMA standards for cylindrical lock bore diameter and cross-bore dimensions before installation. Do not force-install a core that is not rated for FSIC large-format prep, as this can damage the lock chassis.
