The SCHLAGE LOCK CO F51VPLY619 is a Plymouth knob entrance lock finished in satin nickel, designed for residential and light commercial entry doors requiring key-controlled access with interior privacy capability. The outer knob locks via a turn button on the inside, and the inside knob remains unlocked at all times for free egress. The lock ships with dual backset latches that fit either a 2-3/8 inch or 2-3/4 inch backset, accommodating doors ranging from 1-3/8 inches to 1-3/4 inches thick. Two keys are included. It meets ANSI A156.2 1996 Grade 2 standards and carries a UL listing for 3-hour fire door applications.
This entrance lock is suited for residential entry doors and commercial applications where a fire-rated knob set is required. The satin nickel finish integrates with a wide range of door hardware finishes common in both new construction and renovation work. The dual backset latch design reduces the need to stock separate hardware for different door preparations, making it practical for contractors servicing multiple units or door types. Licensed locksmiths, carpenters, and general contractors are the typical installers.
Designed as an OEM-style knob entrance lock for standard residential and light commercial entry doors with a 2-3/8 inch or 2-3/4 inch backset preparation and a door thickness between 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches.
Installation should be performed by a licensed locksmith, carpenter, or qualified contractor familiar with door hardware and applicable local building codes. Confirm the door backset and thickness fall within the supported range before installing the latch. For fire-rated door assemblies, verify that the complete door, frame, and hardware assembly meets the required fire listing per the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Do not force the knob mechanism or modify the latch assembly, as doing so may void the fire rating.
