Schlage Lock Co F170V Ply 605 Dummy Lockset Bright Brass

Product Description

The SCHLAGE LOCK CO F170V PLY 605 is a dummy lockset in a Bright Brass finish featuring the Plymouth knob design. A dummy lockset has no latch mechanism and no lock function — it is a fixed, non-turning decorative knob used on doors that do not require a latching or locking operation, such as closet doors, french doors, or bi-fold applications. The knob is constructed of solid brass, which contributes to long-term finish durability. This unit is sold in a package quantity of four and carries a 10-year finish warranty. Installation is straightforward and requires only basic hand tools. It is suited for residential interior applications where appearance and door pull function are the primary requirements.

This dummy lockset is designed for interior residential doors where no latch or lock is needed. Common applications include paired french doors, closet doors, pantry doors, and decorative cabinet or passage doors. The Plymouth knob profile is a classic round style that fits traditional and transitional interior design schemes. The Bright Brass finish, designated 605, pairs with standard brass hardware throughout a home. This package contains four units, making it practical for multi-door projects or paired-door installations requiring matching hardware on both sides.

Installation Notes

Dummy locksets are typically installed by carpenters, finish contractors, or experienced DIYers using basic hand tools including a screwdriver. Because there is no latch mechanism, no strike plate or door edge bore is required. Ensure the door surface is clean and that the mounting screws are driven flush to avoid knob wobble. No electrical shutoff or special trade licensing is required for dummy lockset installation.
