It features a C keyway with a keyed-different (KD) configuration, meaning each unit ships with its own unique key cuts and is not master-keyed from the factory. The deadbolt includes a 12296 latch and 10094 strike plate and ships in an Oil Rubbed Bronze (613) finish. Grade 1 is the highest ANSI/BHMA rating for deadbolts, indicating heavy-duty cycle testing and resistance to forced entry. Licensed locksmiths, commercial door hardware contractors, and facilities maintenance teams are the typical installers.
This deadbolt is suited for commercial office doors, institutional corridors, multi-family entry doors, and other applications where double-cylinder security is required on both the interior and exterior sides of the door. A double cylinder design requires a key to operate the lock from both sides, which is common in doors with glass panels or sidelites where a thumb-turn could be reached through broken glass.
