The SCHIER PRODUCTS 4025-300-01 is a high-capacity polyethylene grease interceptor rated at 50 GPM flow rate, designed to capture fats, oils, and grease from commercial kitchen and food service drainage systems before they enter the sanitary sewer. The unit provides 65 gallons of liquid capacity and 13 gallons of solids capacity. Connections are 4-inch Female Pipe Thread (FPT) at both inlet and outlet, with 4-inch plain end adapters included. A 24-inch diameter temporary cover is supplied for initial installation and inspection access. Licensed plumbers performing commercial foodservice or institutional plumbing work are the typical installers.
The GB-50 is intended for commercial installations where flow rates up to 50 GPM are required, including restaurants, cafeterias, institutional kitchens, and similar food service environments. The polyethylene construction resists corrosion and grease degradation in below-grade or above-grade indoor applications. The 4-inch FPT inlet and outlet connections suit standard commercial drain piping configurations. The included 24-inch temporary cover allows installation to proceed in phases while the permanent access lid is coordinated.
Designed as an OEM-style passive grease interceptor for commercial foodservice drainage systems requiring a 50 GPM rated interceptor with 4-inch gravity-drain piping connections.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements for grease interceptors. Shut off water supply and confirm all upstream fixtures are drained before making connections. The interceptor must be installed level to ensure proper grease separation and solids retention. Access covers should remain unobstructed for routine service and inspection as required by the authority having jurisdiction.
