The SCHAEFER BRUSH 43625 is a double stem, single spiral tube brush designed for cleaning the interior of tubes, pipes, and bores. The brush features brass bristles mounted on a brass construction, making it well suited for applications where ferrous contamination must be avoided or where softer metals and surfaces require a non-scratching cleaning medium. The brush measures 13/16 inches in diameter with an overall length of 6-1/4 inches and a brush scraping length of 4 inches. The 12-24 female threaded connection allows the brush to attach to standard extension rods for extended reach in field or shop cleaning tasks. Weighing 0.16 pounds, it is a lightweight hand tool used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and maintenance professionals.
This tube brush is appropriate for residential and light commercial maintenance work involving tube and pipe cleaning, heat exchanger service, condenser tube cleaning, and general bore maintenance. The brass bristle construction is compatible with copper, brass, aluminum, and other non-ferrous tubing commonly found in HVAC and plumbing systems. The 12-24 female threaded connection makes it easy to combine with compatible extension rods when access to deep or awkwardly positioned tubes is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard cleaning tool for use with 12-24 threaded extension rod systems on tube and pipe cleaning applications.
This brush is installed and used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and maintenance mechanics performing tube or bore cleaning during service or repair. Before cleaning heat exchangers or pressurized piping, isolate and depressurize the system and follow applicable OSHA and facility lockout/tagout procedures. Thread the brush securely onto the extension rod before inserting it into the bore to prevent loss of the tool inside the component. Inspect bristles for wear or deformation before each use and replace the brush when bristle contact is no longer consistent.
