The SCHAEFER BRUSH 43562 is a double stem, double/single spiral tube brush built for cleaning tube interiors, pipe bores, and cylindrical passages in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance applications. The brush measures 3.5 inches in diameter with an overall length of 7.25 inches and an active brush length of 4.5 inches. Both the bristles and the core stem are constructed from stainless steel, making the assembly resistant to corrosion and suitable for wet or chemically active environments. The 1/4-inch male NPSM connection allows it to mount directly to standard extension rods or cleaning machine chucks for powered or manual operation.
This tube brush is suited for residential and commercial service work where technicians need to clear scale, debris, or fouling from tube sheets, heat exchanger tubes, condenser tubes, and similar cylindrical passages. The double stem construction adds rigidity across the brush length, which helps maintain consistent contact with tube walls during scrubbing. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals are the primary installers. The stainless steel construction makes it a good fit for service on copper, steel, and stainless tube materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and service brush for use with standard 1/4-inch NPSM threaded extension rods and tube cleaning systems used in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance applications.
Thread the 1/4-inch male NPSM connection securely onto a compatible extension rod or cleaning chuck before use. Ensure the tube or pipe being cleaned is depressurized and isolated from fluid flow prior to inserting the brush. For powered cleaning applications, verify the drive tool RPM is appropriate for the brush diameter to avoid bristle damage or excessive wear. Inspect bristles for flare or deformation after each use and replace the brush if the diameter has worn below the target tube bore size.
