The SCHAEFER BRUSH 43531 is a double stem, single spiral tube brush designed for cleaning the interior of tubes, pipes, and bores where a secure mechanical connection is required. The brush measures 15/16 inches in diameter with an overall length of 6-1/4 inches and a brush length of 4 inches. Bristles and brush construction are stainless steel throughout, making the 43531 suitable for applications involving moisture, mild chemicals, or residues that would corrode standard carbon steel brushes. The 12-24 female threaded connection allows the brush to attach to standard extension rods and drill adapters commonly used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and maintenance professionals.
This tube brush is suited for light-duty to medium-duty cleaning of small-diameter tubes found in heat exchangers, condenser coils, boiler tubes, and copper or steel piping. The 15/16-inch diameter makes it appropriate for cleaning tube IDs in the 7/8-inch to 15/16-inch range. Stainless steel construction handles contact with water, condensate, scale, and light corrosion deposits without shedding or premature bristle failure. Ideal for periodic maintenance cleaning by HVAC service technicians and plumbing contractors.
Designed for use with 12-24 threaded extension rods and adapters. Suitable as a replacement or supplemental tube brush for cleaning small-bore tubes in residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance applications.
Thread the brush onto a compatible 12-24 extension rod or drill adapter by hand until snug before use. Isolate or shut off the system being serviced and allow components to cool before inserting the brush into any tube or heat exchanger. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when working with scale, debris, or chemical residues dislodged during cleaning. Inspect bristles for wear or distortion after each use and replace the brush if the diameter has reduced significantly or bristles show breakage.
